they're not THAT bad, despite some absolutely fucking laughable singles (see: Just a Day, Seven Days in the Sun, etc.)

I always thought that Feeder were only really good for throwaway pop tunes and just a day was always one of the better ones in that case.

Just A Day is the worst thing they've ever done, quite an achievement really. that fucking video is a crime against humanity

I disagree regarding the song. They're a pop/rock band and that is a catchy single with a lot of energy which is what I hope for from a band like Feeder. You can't seriously think it's worse than their countless post-JL sad songs that Grant never seems to pull off with any sincerity

I disagree, Just A Day IS catchy in the same way that the Birdie Song or the Fast Food Rockers are catchy. the awful rawk ballads about being dragged under are all awful, of course, but they're easily forgettable - I don't think I've even heard anything they've done in the last 3 years or so. JAD is aggressively awful

I haven't heard any of their stuff since that single they released to promote the greatest hits a few years ago. I thought it was awful and stopped listening to them

totally agreed but i actually guiltily enjoy some of the "dragged under"/"falling down" ballads they've penned. Save Us is brilliant, for instance.
