Post  Stu on Mon Jun 23, 2008 11:01 pm

Not any more, they're shit. The contract ran out and they were ringing the manager frequently everyday for the last two weeks. The last ever call they recieved from their manager my manager put it on speaker phone so we could all hear. It went something like;

"We've had a contract with you for five years, you've been really good business for us and I think we've fostered a very special relationship. What can we do to keep you?"

"Stop being so shit maybe? But that isn't going to happen so please kindly never call again".

For tickets printed actually by See they go out with Royal Mail first class. For tickets printed by the promoter they are also sent out with Royal Mail but with registered post as if they go missing they cannot be replaced.

Oh that's good Very Happy it's nice to know that if I'm not in when my tickets are delivered then I can actually go somewhere to pick them up rather than having to arrange re-delivery and potentially wait in ALL day for them to arrive.

I was sure I'd seen you mention the contract ending in another post on the board but I couldn't find it. Thanks for your help!

If you've already bought something email your reference number to jimi.arundell@seetickets.com and I'll keep on eye on it for you. Many congratulations on your university result by the way, I'm really pleased for you.

SMS were SHIT. Some tickets were cutting it so fine after we had to have them redelivered that we considered going to the sorting office if it was nearby but nowhere on SMS's website did it say where they were based. They seemed proper dodgy.

they're coming in, but of course they make you print out a tiny ticket on two pages of garish, inefficiently coded PDF adverts that crash a huge variety of common 'home/family' printers and use up so much coloured ink that it's not even much cheaper than paying the extortionate postage fees (which they still charge you anyway!). after all that, it was at the point a few weeks later when ticketmaster got back to me with "you know those printable tickets? the venue told us to fuck off and won't be accepting them, check your post in a few days lol" that I realised that large-scale ticket-selling operations actually ARE a big competition to see which one can cause the most inconvenience and unneccesary expense to their customer base (unless ticketmaster have shares in print cartridge manufacturers?)

Does Ireland have a nightclub yet that you don't have to queue for least 20 mins to get into?

Yeah but the averege person can't get their heads round it. Seriously, one of the most common problems See's customers ring up with is:

"I ordered print at home tickets, yeah? Problem is I don't have a printer - I didn't really know what I was doing. Can I just have them printed and sent out?"

Also, because they're just files that can be printed many many times it encourages a lot more people to turn up and try their luck getting in, which some do, causing max. occupency problems and fake tickets and touting.

You're the second person in under a week to claim that I have changed. What is it with girls always telling me how to think and that I can't have their clothes because they've just bought them?
