i reckon that keeping this as a more general off-topic forum may work, and may prevent scaring too many people away from the new forum, plus since there's no girly section on the new forum that'll remain untarnished
think i'm gonna be using both for a good while yet

I definately cant leave here, its where i met you all! We can still be the Gashed guys and girls cant we? I feel like this forum has a nice intimate feel, where you can talk about anything. Bit like meeting up with ya mates down the local. And the Ash-official forum is when you decide to head up town for a gig. Does that make sense to anyone? I like it too much here to leave.

Well I'm moving over. Steve's put a lot of work into the new site and it is the official band forum, trying to make sure everything works fine and I think he's done a great job. I think having the official forum now makes the whole site more professional and credible which is good for the band and the image of the site to new visitors. It was great that Alix set this up when there was nothing else and it took off quite nicely but it was only ever meant to be temporary and I hope that having an official site will bring in new people and hopefully coax back some old people.

Oh without a doubt Steve has done an amazing job and i will use the new forum but i really hope this one keeps going cos there has been some brilliant topics on here that have made me laugh out loud and cheered me up no end. Its my social life which sounds sad but bit difficult to get out with no sodding money and a 3 year hanging off your leg! Definately think theres room for both and i hope you will still stick around Bry?

I've been through about 5 Ash forum changes though and everybody usually moves over, although we have lost a few people but I don't attribute that to different forums (that's a more complicated issue). It's just a different forum but with the same people and if everyone moves over then we wont be losing anything socially. It might take a bit to get used to but these things do. I just think it would be a bit odd with 2 different forums, much harder to keep up with and much more confusing and the more people hang on here means the more difficult it would be for the new forum to take off. The content and members need differ.

I don't wanna move, I've decided. Its more fun talking about Gashed than The Ash Boards.
I'll end up frequenting both though. I like how friendly everything here has got.

It's not pink. It doesn't have the word "gash" in the title. It gets my vote.
