its not been that funny since phil jupitus stopped being funny. he doesnt even seem to try, just sits there and occassionally makes the odd obvious comment.

NMTB is frustrating because I would love for there to be a good music quiz on tv but you get about 8 questions in that 30 minute timeslot and 25 minutes of scripted jokes.

to be fair, nearly all panel shows are like that.
i couldnt stand Lamaar.

Yeah it's what makes panel shows mildly unwatchable. I know it's always been more a case of who can tell the best jokes but it takes the piss with 8 out of 10 cats, mock the week, the tonightly show and all that which just seem to have a list of about 20 guests constantly revolving and taking turns on each others shows.

TV does need a good music quiz though. When Lamarr was on it I loved it (though I really like Lamarr) because it was mostly a quiz. The lightning round at the end nowadays consists of about 4 questions and Amstell making a joke inbetween every one when i'm sat there thinking "hurry it up, I want to see how many of these I can get" but that might just be me being a music knowledge geek who spends all his time at work doing the music crosswords in Q, Mojo and Uncut magazine.

yeh, next rounds really pisses me off these days.

best ever episode was pete burns on sean's team and kerry katona on phil's

but because dave only shows the bill bailey episodes it's hardly ever on, or when it's on i don't see it cos i'm not at home

i watched mock the week the other night.
it took 12 minutes just to get through the first question.
