Re: photography that inspires or intrigues
Pretty obvious famous ones

And I think this one, though it looks like a bit of an absurd choice, is a quite iconic as a snapshot of the biggest fall from grace seen in our lives or mine at least. It's an interesting look at the effects of what is essentially a child given immense amounts of fame, money and constant media attention. It's peculiar how for a time you could see a skinhead Britney Spears on one channel, assaulting photographers and a car with an umbrella in a complete breakdown and then change the channel and see thousands of people nationwide queuing up for their chance to prove their talent in front of judges and somehow find a ladder onto the fame ladder despite the fact they all know that, as one girl found when questioned on Charlie Brooker's "40 Seconds of Fame" talent show pisstake on Screenwipe, it's hard to think of any famous people that are truly happy. Britney being a brilliant example. The desire for fame is a really peculiar aspiration that the majority of people in this country and countries with similar dependencys on celebrity culture seem to possess, yet the same people probably read gossip mags to see which of the celebrities have put on the most weight or commited a fritzl crime againt fashion. It's interesting, and I think a lot of it is shown in this picture. Sorry i'm overthinking this because i'm pretty stoned.

1. I know I have no say in the matter, but I really want people to leave Britney alone.
2. Another photographer friend and I were talking recently about how impossible it is to take a bad picture of starving children.
Old news.

Always touched me this photo....
3 Year old John F Kennedy Jnr salutes his fathers coffin.

Watching that on the news will remain with me for the rest of my life.

And regardless of what happened next, i believe that day will stay with me, watching it on the small television in the school library.
