Stuart & Ollie's Gibson SG & Boss Pedal thread
Sorry Ollie dude but, reasons why my Fender Highway One Telecaster is better than my Gibson SG Faded Special:
1. I can throw my Telecaster and it won't break.
2. My Telecaster doesn't need tuning by ear DURING SONGS, and then actual tuning after every song. Unlike my SG.
SG Standard stays in tune but it's got locking machine heads cause the original ones were wasted when I smashed it (please note had it been a Tele I'd thrown it would most likely have stayed intact and in tune).
Boss ME50 is class tho, can't say a bad thing about it.

Re: Stuart & Ollie's Gibson SG & Boss Pedal thread
Stuu,
I have to agree, i do dislike the sg special, as it looks rather trampy. Striped down guitars are sometimes fit, and sometimes not.
However, I do very much fancy a gibson sg standard. I play the epiphone sg g400, and I admit, I copy your, plug in baby behind my head move, as it is rather fun to play like that.
On the subject of fenders, my favourite fender is Edit: the telecaster deluxe in WULNUT. (pictured below) Teles are better than strats. simple.

On the subject of pedals, I just purchased the Boss V-wah, the really sick wah wah. £55 near new condition, boxed and all.

Re: Stuart & Ollie's Gibson SG & Boss Pedal thread
Ohh I'm pretty sure that's the Wah I used to have! I need to stop selling gear
seem to remember it being quite good, better than the one on my ME50 anyway... but that will suffice for now. How you finding yer new pedal??
I have to say I don't really do the behind-the-head move on Plug In Baby that much, just did it for the Youtube video to show off to any females who may've been watching
I have a feeling your G400 probably stays in tune better than my SG Faded. I have a crappy, battered, bottom-of-the-range Epiphone Les Paul that stays in tune better, which is quite shocking really.
The SG Faded Special is slightly different to the Special... it looks a lot better
the actual Special isn't all that nice looking. Is that Tele an American one? It looks rather nice I must say! And yeah Teles are better than Strats, I've never been a huge fan of Strats tbh. I think Teles look way better. The guy who fixed my SG when it got broken told me he'd seen a Telecaster fall down a flight of stairs and not only did it not break, but yeah, it stayed in tune
built like tanks and they're awesome to play.
My Highway One Tele is my absolute pride and joy, I love it to pieces. There's a couple of chunks of wood missing where it's been smacked off the wall, it's scratched to fuck, and I've written on the back in permanent marker so it's basically worthless to anyone but me

Re: Stuart & Ollie's Gibson SG & Boss Pedal thread
I was thinking about how strng boss compact pedals are, there like armour plated lol.
That tele is a mexican but one of the top end ones, £550.
I havnt recieved my wah, but Im thinking of a distortion upgrade, but I dont know what to. I want a trebly knights of cydonia sound & a hysteria or stockholm kinda fuzz. I would like to get a sustanic distortion like in pork and beans weezer.
I want to get it in a boss compact pedal, sounds like I want a lot, but Im sure i could get it. Its the trebly knights sound I want, but how do you get it? And that pork and beans chorus sound is like impossible :( :( :(

I need a good distortion pedal.
I have a Behringer one I got for about a tenner that works just dandy (when it wants) but it is a bit wank really.
Any suggestions?

Re: Stuart & Ollie's Gibson SG & Boss Pedal thread
I use it for the little amount of industrial guitar I play as well.
So a vaguely universal one would be lovely

This isn't a Boss pedal mind, but you know the zvex fuzz facotry.
Well this guy on ebay is selling one , i know all about how it sounds and I know loads of muse songs use it but he states:
Can someone tell me when has Tim ever used one?
I mean, he doesn't oscillate in any of his songs.…
