Where the fuck is the new issue?

When I used to help run a fanzine distribution label we would churn out one fanzine a month that was a combination of work, one each about every six weeks and put pressure on people to produce one every three four weeks. And that was on paper that had to be cut, copied, produced and distributed round the UK!

Gashed ain't changed since Xmas!

Why are we not aiming to get a new issue out every 3/4 months? Nice and regular like.
By the time the roundhouse rolls round, its gonna have been the same issue for 8 or 9 months.

I love the use of 'we' there.

There is a submissions area clearly marked on this site. If you really want to see the zine more regularly then submit some ideas and copy!

Alix has a full time 'grown up' job, this is a hobby sideline she does for sheer love of the band. If the rest of us want an issue out sooner then we simply have to produce content and offer to cover more admin-y tasks for her. Why should she have to run around emailing and harassing us individually?

Just contact her, describe what you want to do and if she's happy, do it.

If it wasn't for the initiative of Gashed you lot wouldn't even have this board to chat on so quit your moaning and do something yourselves.

Plus...it doesn't help when you're specifically writing about one band and they disappear out of the public eye for months on end

Wheels are in motion on this, will explain more later when I can be bothered. Rest assured, Alix and I have had things planned and moving for a while.

I can be helpful

Two 'specials' - first early-mid Aug, second shortly after 77 gigs.

Basically submit anything you want but anything 77 related is a bonus, think of the next issue as 1977 Opulaganza (that's a new word).

It will be an exciting quest through time and space (and fashion).

I'll get back to you with submission/issue dates.

I could say more but I enjoy the air of mystery. It builds anticipation.

In all seriousness, mini-issues regularly would be cool if it takes so long to be able to get a whole 'issue' together - not so regular that it just becomes a news site (Ash Official is great for that), but every couple of months or so when there's big things to report or quirky articles to go up. I don't always have the time to get on here, but being able to dip in and out of the 'zine more often would be great.
