I was just checking the bbc sport website before bed and saw the snooker was at 9-9... thought ooh, I can catch the end of it, on with the iplayer. An hour later...

I've not followed snooker properly for a good few years now, so that was a nice throwback for me. No idea who's been on form this tournament/season, but Murphy was pretty jammy with that last pink. Love those final frames where both players are making mistakes all over the place, great fun to watch!

Glad murphy won it outta those two but dear god that was the worst final i have ever seen. so many stupid mistakes were made it was getting boring!

Yeah, scrappy frames are only good to watch if it's the decider - looks like I tuned in at the right time! Unbearable if they're during the early or mid parts of a match, so dull. And yes, that's even by snooker standards!

Missed the final, got to see much of the rest though....anyone think this is pretty late for this tournement.

Fluking the pink is a terrible way to lose a final though
